Glass clamps
Over 150,000 pieces of R-FIX glass clamps have been installed in Scandinavia, the Baltics and elsewhere. We have valuable experience and reliable technical information in this area. For questions and further information, do not hesitate to contact our specialist!
Glass clamps are designed to fix the glass to the baluster posts or other substructure, as well as to attach glass panes to each other. R-FIX glass clamps have been tested and have the necessary documentation.

Minimalistic GCF type clamps are used in the case of glass railings for fixing the glass pieces between one another and for fixing the end glass on the wall. This gives the possibility of stiffening the glass railing without a handrail on top of the glass. GCF clamps are made of 2205 Duplex stainless steel with the highest corrosion resistance and they are suitable for glass sizes 12.76 mm to 17.52 mm.
By using side fix GC5 type glass clamps it is possible to build glass railings, in which case the glass panes are fixed in front of the posts. This creates a uniform surface of glass with minimal joint gaps when viewed from the front of the railing. In addition, it is possible to build French balconies with GC5 clamps, in which case 4 clamps keep the glass pane on the window jamb. Side fix clamps are made of stainless steel 1.4401 (AISI316) suitable for the external environment and they are suitable for glass with a thickness of 8 mm to 12.76 mm.
Other models of glass clamps are designed to fix glass panes between the baluster posts and are suitable for glass sizes between 6 mm and 12.76 mm. In external conditions, we recommend using a stainless steel 1.4401 (AISI316) or powder-painted zamak-clamp. For the use in interior conditions there is a stainless steel 1.4301 (AISI304) clamp or stainless steel zamak-clamp with steel effect. The surface of all clamps is brush finished and they can be fixed to a straight substrate or to Ø42,4 mm round tube.
For most clamps, special safety plates can be used to prevent the glass from falling down. In this case, the clamps with safety plates must be placed at the lower corners of the glass so that the lower edge of the glass rests on the safety plates. This method of installation is mandatory if there is a risk that someone may be injured by the glass collapsing. However, it is also recommended to use the safety plates in the case glass may vibrate due to the wind, which causes the glass to collapse over time.
After installation, it is recommended to clean the glass clamps with special cleaning foam. When cleaning the glass railings, do not use highly acidic or alkaline cleaners, as they may damage the surface of stainless steel and cause corrosion.
We keep all glass clamps in stock in sufficient quantities. The R-FIX warehouse is located a 15-minute drive from Tallinn in Kiili, 14 Kurna street.
